"Oscars of Management Thinking"

I have been shortlisted for the biennial Thinkers50 Distinguished Achievement Award for Leadership.  This is one of the management sector’s most prestigious awards so I am delighted to be in such august company.

The Thinkers50 – a global ranking of management thinkers – was created in 2001 and every two years publishes its rankings of the sector’s "best minds".

In 2011 the organisation introduced its Distinguished Achievement Awards to recognise and celebrate management thinkers in fields including Innovation, Strategy and Leadership.

The Thinkers50 Awards are the so-called “Oscars of Management Thinking”, with an gala ceremony held in London in November to announce the winners.

The Leadership Award, for which I have been shortlisted, acknowledges managers, business minds and academics whose new and insightful knowledge have made a significant impact on the subject of Leadership.

My work on the idea collective leadership and my 2019 Harvard Business Review article “How to Lead Your Fellow Rainmakers” are both referenced in the shortlisting notes for the award.

To get this far, to be considered in the same league as Tom Peters and Herminia Ibarra, feels amazing.  I look forward to celebrating with my fellow nominees from around the world.
